Exercise: Cause or Cure

It’s a new year and many of you may have renewed your commitment to exercise and eat healthy. Kudos to you! It takes a lot from to be disciplined to work towards your goals and believe me when I say, we are rooting for you.

But one byproduct of the gym is SWEAT! While sweat purges the skin of toxins, it can also clog pores and cause acne. Sweat is toxic. So if you are working out you should be prepared to cleanse your skin as soon as possible. In fact, cleanse your face before a workout and immediately after. A simple damp towel or towelette to wipe your face immediately after a workout can help. Once home, shower and cleanse your entire skin to avoid the formation of blackheads and even sores throughout the body. When sweat settles, it can even cause uncomfortable boils on the skin over time. We recommend that you use our Black Love Detox Mask 2-3 times per week to remove dirt and grime that may have settled deep into the skin.
